The song was featured on the Adult Swim album entitled Ghostly Swim. Here’s a youtube clip of the song. More recently, Mux Mool has released Valley Girls. I instantly fell in love and cannot stop listening to it. This is everything I want my music to be. Garage Band Reflection31.10.2010 | 11:17 PM | PatrickTo say the least, I was very thrilled to find that we would be experimenting with audio in digital art. I’ve always been interested in creating digital music, mostly thanks to my older brother Matt, you can check out his website – http://mattmontag.com/. GarageBand doesn’t quite have all the bells and whistles that other programs like Reason, Cubase, and Ableton Live have, but its ease of use its a huge plus. In creating my song, if you wanna call it a song, I tried to stay away from the preexisting loops that are included in GarageBand. I instead brought in a few samples found on my desktop computer, these would include a reversed cymbal, a ride cymbal, and the “We Are Your Friends” vocal sample (which needed to be chopped up to sync with the tempo). The ambulance’s siren was recorded not far from Coe’s main campus. The addition of the siren was almost of an afterthought, although I believe it fits nicely with the industrial, downtown midnight machinery theme. Themes also present in the first Photoshop project I did. In the future, I plan on posting a step by step tutorial on how I create songs from different samples, incorporating such programs as: Adobe Audition, Recycle, and Reason.
